Sometimes, consciously or not we often behave like we are a western people. With an imaginary "mask" on our faces. We dress like them, we followed their mode, their behavior, their habit, their way of thinking. I just wondering, if it's right for us to be looked like them? and let the world look at us as a puppet of the western customs?
From the smallest things like how we speak and how we dress have ultimately affected by the western customs. We rather say "Thanks" than "Terima Kasih" even to our people. also we rather say "Sorry" than "Maaf". This is a simple thing but actually it's affect us so indirectly. The value of the word and its meaning will be decreased. Decreased i mention before is the condition where people cheapen the value of a word when we use foreign language. In many cases we say sorry just as formality of our regret of some mistakes. but, we often don't really regret it. That's the example.
What i really want to explain or share is. Why don't we use our own customs in daily life rather than walking in the street wearing a western mask in our faces.
